What’s not to love about Dr. Seuss? I’ve read a lot of his work and love it. Even as an adult, I love reading Dr. Seuss. The story reads like songs with rhythm and rhyme. The art is bright but understated and imaginative. I imagine children love twisting the words and I know adults do too. We never get too old for tongue twisters and imaginary creatures doing wacky and crazy things. Dr. Seuss’s ABC was a collection of real and imaginary words starting with every letter of the alphabet (except for x) and repetition of the alphabet which lets child readers learn and remember the order of letters easier. The pace was fast and fun; the pictures, bright and cheery. I imagine children would love this version of the ABCs.
